Kivia, Owner and Founder
Kivia, the heart and soul behind Barlow Home Sitting, has been deeply immersed in the world of animal care from a young age. Growing up in her family’s grooming shop, she handled a wide variety of dog breeds and developed a keen understanding of their needs. Specializing in anxiety-prone dogs at Luther's Pooch Parlor in Ponderay has further honed her skills, making her comfortable and adept at managing dogs of all behavior types. Kivia is also a proud dog mom to three beloved pups: Leo, a Border Collie mix; Lucy, a Boxer mix; and Oliver, a Mini Dapple Dachshund. Her personal experience extends beyond grooming; she witnessed firsthand the profound impact of dogs on mental health through her mother’s use of therapy dogs. This insight deepened Kivia’s appreciation for the crucial role pets play in human well-being. Outside of her professional life, Kivia finds joy in coaching youth volleyball and softball, sharing her passion for sports with the next generation. Since 2017, she has been dedicated to house sitting, and she remains committed to continuing this rewarding work for the long term.
Mayle
When Mayle isn’t caring for animals of all kinds, she’s she is crafting delicious sandwiches at a local shop. Her lifelong passion for animals started on her family’s farm, where she was deeply involved in breeding goats, dogs, and raising horses. This early exposure to a variety of animals laid the foundation for her extensive knowledge and experience. Mayle specializes in breeding Dachshunds, Heelers, and Great Danes, and her expertise in these breeds is matched by her adeptness in handling a diverse range of animals, including reptiles and other farm animals. This comprehensive background ensures that she provides exceptional care tailored to each animal's specific needs. In her spare time, she dedicates herself to coaching youth baseball, where she fosters teamwork and skills in the next generation of players. Additionally, she actively participates in showcasing animals at local 4-H events, a family tradition that has been a cornerstone of their community involvement for decades. Mayle’s deep connection to both animals and her community underscores her commitment to providing the highest standard of care and support in every aspect of her life.

Brandy
We’re excited to introduce Brandy as the newest member of our dedicated team! Based in Priest River and proudly serving the surrounding area, Brandy brings a genuine love for animals and a wealth of hands-on experience caring for a diverse range of pets.
As a devoted pet parent herself, Brandy shares her home with a lovable husky named Luca, two curious chinchillas, three leopard geckos, a bearded dragon, and two affectionate cats. Her experience with such a wide variety of species has given her a deep understanding of the unique needs, personalities, and care requirements of animals—whether they have fur, feathers, or scales.
Brandy’s compassionate nature, attention to detail, and calm presence help her quickly build trust with both pets and their owners. She takes pride in providing reliable, thoughtful care, ensuring that every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved in their own home.
Outside of her work with animals, Brandy enjoys spending time outdoors camping, getting creative through painting, and relaxing with family and friends. Her well-rounded background and genuine passion make her a perfect addition to our team and a trusted caregiver for your beloved pets.

Linda
Linda is a retired U.S. Army Corps of Engineers professional with a lifelong love for animals and a special gift for animal communication. Her calm presence and deep understanding of animal behavior make her a trusted and beloved member of our team, primarily servicing Priest River, Priest Lake, and Sagle.
With years of personal experience caring for a variety of breeds—including Saint Bernards and her current companions, two Portuguese Water Dogs—Linda brings both knowledge and heart to every visit. Whether she's caring for a high-energy pup or a shy senior pet, she always leads with patience, kindness, and a genuine connection.
Linda’s passion, reliability, and strong values align perfectly with our mission to provide safe, loving care to every pet and peace of mind to every owner. We’re so lucky to have her, and your pets will be too!
Joanna
We’re proud to have Joanna as part of our dedicated team of pet care professionals. Serving the Sandpoint, Sagle, Dover, and Naples areas, Joanna brings a compassionate, intuitive approach to every visit—rooted in her deep love for animals and her background in holistic wellness.
Joanna operates her own holistic practice, where she supports both humans and animals through natural, balanced approaches to well-being. This unique expertise enriches her pet care, allowing her to connect with animals on a deeper level and provide calming, mindful support that pets respond to instinctively.
In addition to her work with household pets, Joanna has a special passion for working with horses. Her calm demeanor, sensitivity to energy, and gentle approach make her especially skilled at connecting with equine companions, whether through hands-on care or energetic support.
Whether she’s caring for energetic pups, shy cats, or majestic horses, Joanna brings patience, attentiveness, and genuine warmth to her work. She specializes in daily drop-in visits, offering reliable care, companionship, and comfort to animals while giving their humans peace of mind.
When she’s not working with animals or in her practice, Joanna enjoys time in nature and continuing her studies in holistic healing. Her calm energy, professionalism, and heartfelt dedication make her a trusted and valued member of our team—and a wonderful caregiver for your pets.
